The 2025 Adelaide International will once again be one of the tournaments held at the start of the new season, with the entry list already released.

The Adelaide International is traditionally one of the tournaments held at the start of the season, and in 2025, this ATP 250 event will be held from January 6th to 11th, just ahead of the Australian Open, which starts on January 12th.

In 2024, it was for the first time since the inaugural tournament in 2020 that the ATP event was held only once, as in 2022 and 2023, there were two Adelaide International tournaments, as the event from Brisbane was temporarily moved to Adelaide.

In the six editions that the tournament had, it produced six different champions, including the 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic, who won the tournament in 2023, beating Sebastian Korda in the final.

Korda is one of the players headlining the 2025 entry list, and after the disappointing result from 2023, he will want to go one step further in Adelaide and win the trophy.

There will be not only one but two former champions of the Adelaide International competing in 2025. Defending champion Jiri Lehecka will return to defend his 2024 title, and the 2022 champion, Thanasi Kokkinakis, received a wild card to compete in his hometown.

The field, however, is incredibly strong, and winning the second title won't be easy for either of these players, as many Top 30 players, who have climbed even higher in their careers before, will compete at the 2025 Adelaide International.

Chief among them is Tommy Paul, who should be the top seed in Adelaide. Joining him among the favorites is Felix Auger-Aliassime, who is a former World No. 6 player.

The likes of Lorenzo Musetti and Tomas Machac are young players who will want to prove their qualities, and Adelaide might prove to be a great place for that since there were many surprising champions in the past.

Home fans will be delighted by the presence of Jordan Thompson, who will try to fly the Australian flag high in Adelaide.

Alexander Bublik, Matteo Arnaldi, and Brandon Nakashima will also compete at the 2025 Australian Open. Bublik is a 2024 semi-finalist, while Arnaldi was stopped already in the second round in 2024.

David Goffin ranked 52nd ahead of the 2025 season, is still trying to show that he deserves his spot at the top, even though he's currently far from his career-high seventh position. In Adelaide, he will try to challenge for the title.

Denis Shapovalov is also trying to restart his career after falling out of the Top 50. He, too, is a former Top 10 player, and he will try to follow up on his Belgrade Open win from the end of the 2024 season in Adelaide.
