Carlos Alcaraz began another week as the top-ranked player in the world this week, sitting in front of Rafael Nadal and Casper Ruud.

The Spaniard hasn't performed well since the US Open, but his performance was still good enough for him to hold the top spot for another week. In general, there haven't been many changes to the Top 10 on the ATP Tour.

The 19-year-old Spaniard leads with 6730 points, ahead of fellow compatriot Rafael Nadal, who is second with 5810 points. Right behind them is Norway's Casper Ruud, who missed out on the world no. 1 spot at the US Open and currently has 5600 points.

In fourth comes Russia's Daniil Medvedev, who has 5155 points and a tiny margin over the fifth Stefanos Tsitsipas, who currently has 4930 points, only 70 points more than sixth Alexander Zverev.

Novak Djokovic, who played only a few events over the past 52 weeks, is currently seventh with 4320 points. Andrey Rublev moved ahead of Taylor Fritz to eighth and Felix Auger-Aliassime rejoined the list of players ranked inside the Top 10 in the world.

Right behind the Top 10, many players are waiting for their chance. Hubert Hurkacz is 11th, Jannik Sinner 12th, and Marin Cilic 13th, after Cameron Norrie dropped by four places.

In the rankings, a number of other players moved up, including Florence Open finalist J.J. Wolf, who rose 19 ranks to a new career-high ranking of 56.

Thiago Monteiro, Lorenzo Musetti, and Yoshihito Nishioka are some of the other players who made progress.

There won't be many more changes by the end of the 2022 season, with only a few more tournaments coming up, one of which will be ATP Finals only for the eight best players. All of those changes can be viewed on our dedicated rankings page.
