The 2023 Srpska Open is a brand new ATP 250 event in the calendar, and it's played from April 17th to 23rd in Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Over the previous two seasons, fans in Serbia had a chance to watch the best of the best competing at the Serbia Open in Belgrade. However, the 2023 edition faced a hurdle as the Novak Tennis Centre, the tournament's usual venue, underwent renovations to secure an ATP 500 license.
To circumvent this issue, the ingenious organizers devised a plan to relocate the event to Banja Luka in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where it will unfold as the 2023 Srpska Open and Novak Djokovic will be the leading player at this event.
As with many other ATP 250 tournaments, the 2023 Srpska Open in Banja Luka offers 562,815€ in prize money. The distribution starts in the first round with 6,035€ and 0 points to those that lose already in the first match.
For a second-round exit, players are rewarded with 20 points and 9,880€, while those that make it to the quarterfinals get 45 ATP points and 17,010€ in prize money.
The losing semi-finalists are both rewarded with 90 points and 29,355€, while the runner-up at the tournament will get 150 ranking points along with 49,940€.
