The 2023 Mallorca Championships is one of the younger ATP events, but it still offers very solid prize money to players competing.
It's never easy for an ATP 250 tournament to make a mark shortly after its inception, but the Mallorca Championships certainly managed to do that, also due to its location at the Mallorca Country Club in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca, Spain.
The tournament was first held in 2021 as an ATP tournament after the WTA event was played from 2016 to 2019 but was abolished. In 2023, the event will welcome a star-studded field with Nick Kyrgios headlining it.
The Australian is making a comeback but even if he'll be the top seed in Mallorca, he will be challenged by a talented field that consists of the likes of Ben Shelton, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Tallon Griekspoor, Alexander Bublik, and many more.
All of them will be fighting for a share of prize money, which is remarkable 915,630€ at the 2023 Mallorca Championships. The champion of the tournament will get 139,270€ of that prize money and 250 points, as it's sure that there will be a new winner with only two former champions Stefanos Tsitsipas and Daniil Medvedev missing the tournament in 2023.
The finalist also gets a nice share that amounts to 81,240€ and 150 points, while those that end their journey at the pre-Wimbledon event in the semifinals will be rewarded with 90 points and 47,760€.
Those that lose already in the first round won't get any points, but they will see 9,820€ land in their bank account. But only one win can make that number much nicer with 16,070€ and 20 points for a second-round appearance in the popular Spanish travel destination.
Players will be certainly interested in tennis more than beaches in Mallorca and for those interested in the prize money and points overview for the 2023 Mallorca Championships, you don't have to fly too far as you can find it below.
