The 2022 Wimbledon Championship will be played from June 28th until July 10th and for a number of reasons it will be different than previous Championships, starting from the entry list.

Russian and Belarusian players won't be allowed to compete at the 2022 Wimbledon and this decision by the All England Club left the tennis world shocked as many players opposed the decision. As a reaction to the decision, ATP has decided to strip the tournament from points and so there will be only prize money and glory to play for as the entry list misses some big names.

Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Karen Khachanov and Aslan Karatsev are just a few examples of players that were not allowed to participate this year. Moreover, it will be also the first time since 1999 that the tournament will be held without Roger Federer as the Swiss Maestro will skip the event.

Despite so many big names missing, defending champion, Novak Djokovic will take part in the event and will be the biggest favourite to win it. 2-time champion, Andy Murray is also part of the entry list.

Young guns such as Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Casper Ruud or Felix Auger-Aliassime will all try to make a good result in the British capital. Matteo Berrettini, who reached the final last year, is coming back from an injury and he will try to achieve a similar result also this year.
