"You will have disappointments that will make you question everything" - Nadal to academy grads

33 students have graduated from the Rafa Nadal Academy International School, an international American school on the premises of the Rafa Nadal Academy.
The honorary speaker was none other than Rafael Nadal himself, who made sure to give an inspiring yet advisory speech to the families, instructors, and young people present.
While congratulating them for their achievements so far in their lives, the Spaniard made sure to give them important lessons for their future, a premise on which the entire academy is built - to prepare youngsters for life, not just tennis.
The 22-time Grand Slam champion made sure to explain the following to them:
"I know that the fashion now is immediacy and that patience is not a greatly valued virtue. When we want something, all we have to do is pick up our mobiles and make a purchase, read an article or get the information we need."
"But today I would like to remind you that the greatest goals in life are not achieved from one day to the next. They are achieved by fighting, struggling and learning when you fall down. I’m convinced that all of you will be great professionals and good people, which is the most important thing."
"But I can also tell you, through experience, that along the way you will have unexpected moments and disappointments that will make you question everything. In those moments, you must rely on your family, your loved ones and the people you trust, who will remind you what your dreams and goals were so that you can dream of them again."— <br>
Officially opened in October 2016, the Rafa Nadal Academy has played host to several great talents in the sport, including the likes of Casper Ruud and Jaume Munar.
Only time will tell to see what the future holds for this cohort of graduates from the academy and whether they will make it as professional players.

- If Jessica Pegula had to undergo such horror for using a bannes substance, so do these two tennis players. Penalty should apply to all players regardless of their excuses. They are professionals and know better!!

- IDK, it looks like to me that Raducanu should praise herself and her team for 'gaming the system' as in playing the points and ranking game. When you look at her season of wild cards, skipping tournaments (including the Paris Olympics!), retiring from losing matches and avoiding qualifying rounds, it seems like there was some plan to move up the ranks without actually playing a lot of tennis.
