The 2022 Madrid Open will take place on the clay courts of the Spanish capital from May 1st to May 8th, with the greatest men in the world competing.

Novak Djokovic will be the first-seeded at the 2022 Madrid Open, and like all the Top 8 seeded players at the tournament, he received a bye in the first round and will meet the winner of the match between Gael Monfils and Carlos Gimeno Valero in the second round.

The 2021 champion, Alexander Zverev, will be second-seeded in Madrid in the absence of world number 2, Daniil Medvedev. The German has triumphed already twice at the Madrid Open and will try to win his third in 2022 as he will be facing better from Marin Cilic and Albert Ramos Vinolas.

Rafael Nadal is coming from an injury and will play his first clay-court event in 2022 and as the third-seeded at the tournament, he will need to fight against Miomir Kecmanovic or Alexander Bublik in the second round.
