The 2022 Madrid Open will feature four players who triumphed at least twice in the Spanish capital as they will all fight for 1000 points and a big part of the prize money.

Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, and Alexander Zverev all won the Madrid Open at least twice in their careers as they will look to add another trophy at the 2022 edition of the event.

The field is packed with many challengers for the title, including youngster Carlos Alcaraz or recent Monte-Carlo Masters champion, Stefanos Tsitsipas. Also, many clay-court specialists like Diego Schwartzman or Cristian Garin will try to show their strengths in Madrid, all fighting for points in the ATP Rankings and prize money, which offers more than €6,5 million.

There will be only one winner, but he'll take home a lot of zeros. The 2022 Madrid Open champion will earn 1,000 points in the ATP Rankings and more than 1,000,000€ in prize money. The finalist will net more than half-a-million euros and add 600 points to their rankings.

The prize money and points start at 10 points and 26,960€ for losing in the first round. This is a base that will be avoided by the top eight seeded players who will go directly to the second round and take home at least 45 points and 48,655€.

Those that make it to the third round will get 90 ATP points and 90,745€, while the losing quarterfinalists will be rewarded with 180 points and 169,650€.
