The 2022 Libema Open will take place from June 6th to 12th in 's-Hertogenbosch and the entry list has been revealed.
This ATP 250 event will be one of two grass-court tournaments on the ATP calendar running immediately after the Roland Garros (the other being the Stuttgart Open).
Grass-court tournaments are always unique and prestigious, as there are not many during the tennis season, and players have a short window to prepare for Wimbledon.
Libema Open is a tournament rich in history and has attracted some of the best tennis players in the past two or three decades. Former champions include players such as Richard Krajicek, Michael Stich, Pat Rafter, Lleyton Hewitt, and David Ferrer.
France's Adrian Mannarino was the most recent champion (2019) before the tournament was suspended for the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The lefty will be back to the Libema Open to defend his title.
This year, the field is packed with World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev set to spearhead the lineup. The Russian is chasing his first title of the season His last success was in winning a maiden Grand Slam at the 2021 US Open.
Medvedev will is one of two Top 10 players. Felix Auger-Aliassime is the other. Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, and Karen Khachanov will also be among those high on the list of favorites.
Botic van de Zandschulp will lead the Dutch contignent. He will be joined by Tallon Griekspoor, Tim van Rijthoven, Jesper De Jong and the veteran Robin Haase. Four players will enter the main draw through qualifying. For the full entry list be sure to check it below.
