7-time Wimbledon champion, Serena Williams is currently ranked outside of the Top 200 in the WTA Rankings and despite hinting her comeback previously, she is not on the entry list for the 2022 Wimbledon.
After not playing since 2021 Wimbledon, where Serena Williams retired in her first round match against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, it appeared that the 23-time Grand Slam champion might make her comeback to tennis at Wimbledon this year.
After the 2022 Wimbledon, Serena Williams will completely disappear from the WTA Rankings where she's currently ranked a no. 276 what is not enough to enter the event. She had a chance to use her protected ranking, but she has decided not to do so and there are only two options left for the American.
One of them includes not playing at the event, another one receiving a wild-card. It will be definitely a great thing for this year's Wimbledon if Williams would make her come back at the event but her participation still remains in doubt.
