Naomi Osaka Pens Heartfelt Letter Ahead Of 'Chapter 2' Of Her Tennis Career

Naomi Osaka is coming back to tennis in 2024, and it's quite obvious that it's going to be an emotional comeback for her.
The four-time Grand Slam champion didn't enjoy the best period of her career before announcing pregnancy early in 2023. However, that part of her career seems to be behind her, and Osaka is excited to return to the WTA Tour.
Her first tournament back will be the 2024 Brisbane International, after which the Japanese player is set to compete at the 2024 Australian Open, a major that she won twice in her career.
Now, with her comeback closer and closer, Osaka is preparing on the tennis courts, but she's also not shying away from media, doing various interviews, as well as social media.
It was on social media where the former world no. 1 penned an emotional letter for her fans who supported her during her successful tennis career, despite not everything going smoothly all the time.
"For everyone that supported me throughout the years, Thank you. Thank you for believing in me and thank you for putting up with me. I know we've shared some really amazing memories and I also know that l've done some things that I wish I would've handled differently (lol)."
Coming back after pregnancy, and restarting her tennis career as a mother is something that Osaka calls "chapter 2" and it's clear that she'll return to the tennis courts more motivated than ever.
"Regardless of all that, thank you for allowing me to grow up on my own time and thank you for showing me a ton of patience. I don't know what I did to deserve you all but I'm so extremely grateful. Very honored to be going on chapter 2 of this tennis journey together and I'm so excited to see you guys next year."
