Iga Swiatek extended her winning streak by one more match as she added another trophy to her 2022 tally by smashing Aryna Sabalenka 6-2 6-2 in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix final.

The Polish did not play her best tennis at this event, but she certainly showed up in pristine form today in the final, taking down the third-seeded Sabalenka 6-2 6-2. It was a very solid effort from Swiatek, who controlled the match rather well from the beginning.

There were no serving woes like yesterday, there was no rushing, no consecutive errors of any kind. She just showed why she's currently the top-ranked player on the WTA Tour and why she'll likely remain on the top spot for the weeks to come.

She was greatly aided by Sabalnkea, who played her worst match by far all week long. The Belarusian player never found a rhythm, never started serving as well as yesterday against Paula Badosa, and generally played a very bad match from start to finish.

Swiatek was able to create enough pressure when returning, forcing Sabalenka to step outside of her comfort zone. It was a similar match to the one in Doha earlier this year that Swiatek also won in straight sets, but this around, she was even more dominant.

The key stat for Sabalenka is her first serve as she hit it only 51% of the time, and that's not good enough. On top of that, she has been thoroughly outplayed in rallies, and that's a quick recipe for a disaster which it ended up being.

For Swiatek, it means that she has now extended her winning streak to 23 matches and also won fourth consecutive title. Her win streak looks more and more impressive with every match that she plays, and it doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon.
