Emma Raducanu finally won a few matches, and she will try to keep the good momentum going at the Miami Open against Xiyu Wang.
Raducanu arrived in Indian Wells after a pretty disappointing Middle Eastern stretch where she didn't play all too well. She was quite disappointed by that but channeled that into some really solid performances in Indian Wells, demonstrating a solid level
Now, it's about backing that up in Miami and continuing to build upon that. It won't be easy, but nothing in tennis comes easy, and everything needs to be earned.
Her opponent is tricky, and she can beat any opponent on her day. She generally brings a lot of power and aggressiveness to her game. It shouldn't be an unfamiliar match for Raducanu, but it will be tricky.

They have never played against each other before, which isn't a huge surprise. Both of them haven't spent a lot of time at the top in recent years, and Wang has only recently stabilized herself as a Top 100 player.
She's an interesting player who never shies away from trading blows, so it's going to be that type of match. Raducanu generally handles these types of matches rather well.
If she can find a consistent rhythm from the baseline, she's as dangerous as ever, and with the confidence boost from the week in Indian Wells, we should see a good performance from the Brit.

Wang has been up and down with her form, which is pretty on-brand. Sometimes she plays well, and sometimes she doesn't. I'm not sure what we'll get in Miami, but I'm going to back Raducanu to keep doing great things and improve slowly.
