2023 Charleston Open WTA Draw with Pegula, Jabeur, Kenin & more

The draw was released for the 50th edition of the Charleston Open which will be held from April 3rd to 9th, 2023.

After the Sunshine Double, players will have a chance to switch to the clay courts and compete at another event that rewards them nicely with prize money and points. The 2023 Charleston Open is a WTA 500 event and it's played at the LTP-Daniel Island in Charleston, South Carolina, United States.

The draw for this year's event is full of interesting names it's led by the highest-ranked American, Jessica Pegula. The top-seed will start against Anna Bondar or Anna Blinkova in the second round as she has a bye in the first round as all top eight seeds.

On the other side of the draw, the second-seeded Ons Jabeur will try to start her winning journey against either a qualifier or Lesia Tsurenko. Belinda Bencic is the last year's champion and she will defend her title in 2023 as the fourth-seed. The Swiss player will begin against Lauren Davis or a qualifier.

The fifth-seeded Veronika Kudermetova is also a former champion and she will start against the winner of the match between Alycia Parks and Diana Shnaider. Former Grand Slam champion, Sofia Kenin received a wild card for the event, and she will play against Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the first round.

Paula Badosa, the twelfth seed, will want to forget the painful loss against Elena Rybakina. In the first round of the 2023 Charleston Open, she will take on Mayar Sherif and the draw includes many more interesting clashes as also Elena Svitolina is making a return to tennis so be sure to check out the full draw below.
