John McEnroe and Andre Agassi are getting some WTA star power for the second edition of the Pickleball Slam.

John McEnroe was one of the players that took part in the first Pickleball Slam, and the American will make a return for the second edition. But this time, it won't be a men's doubles match, but a mixed doubles clash.

The inaugural Pickleball Slam, held in April 2023, proved quite a success as many people tuned into the event that saw Andre Agassi and John McEnroe compete against Andy Roddick and Michael Chang.

This time around we'll see some WTA star power as Maria Sharapova and Steffi Graf will join the event as well. Andre Agassi, who took part in the first event, was very happy to be part also of the Pickleball Slam 2.

"After Andy and I took home the hardware at the first Pickleball Slam, I said I would be playing pickleball as long as I can walk—that’s how much I enjoy this game. Naturally, I am so excited to share this experience with one of the best tennis players, my wife."

Much like the first edition of the event earlier this year, this too will feature a one million champions purse. This time the Pickleball Slam 2 will be held on February 4, 2024, and the grand stage will be the Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Graf, who had a chance to watch the first edition, was also excited to sign up for the event.

"When I watched the inaugural Pickleball Slam in April and stepped onto the court, I was hooked. Andre and I can’t wait to get back out on the court together to face off against Maria and John."

With the sport gaining in popularity, the Pickleball Slam 2 should prove to be a great spectacle, especially with dozens of Grand Slam titles from tennis meeting on the pickleball court for an attractive match.
