The 2025
tennis season delivered record prize money on the
ATP Tour, with top athletes taking
home hefty cheques along with glittery silverware.
Among the
Grand Slams, the US Open offered $85 million purse, the biggest in tennis
history. Wimbledon stood second with a $72.7 million payout, followed by the French
Open ($65.4 million) and Australian Open ($62.9 million).
Let’s break
down the top five men who claimed the biggest shares of these enormous prize pools and topped the earnings charts.
5. Felix
Auger-Aliassime
Canada’s
Felix Auger-Aliassime collected $5,262,350 for his efforts on the ATP Tour in
2025. He edged out Aussie Alex de Minaur by $20,639 to secure the fifth spot in
the list of top earners.
Auger-Aliassime
won three tournaments during the season. He opened with a victory at the
Adelaide International and doubled his tally in Montpellier. In October, he clinched
the European Open title.
He also
reached two finals—the ATP Masters 1000 Paris and Dubai Duty Free Tennis
Championships. At the Grand Slams, he finished in the second round at the
Australian Open and Wimbledon. He couldn’t win a match at Roland-Garros and
reached the semi-finals at the US Open.
4. Taylor
Fritz
With the total
earnings of $5,475,728, American
Taylor Fritz stood fourth in the list of
highest earners.
Fritz won
two trophies in the season, both on grass. He emerged victorious in Stuttgart
as the second seed and in Eastbourne as the top seed. He reaped greater goods at
the Majors, reaching the semifinals at Wimbledon and quarterfinals at the US
Open.
In
Melbourne, the World No. 6 could make it to only the third round and crashed
out of the French Open in the first round. He also reached the final at the ATP
500 event in Tokyo.

Alexander Zverev
Alexander
Zverev made $6,060,174 on the ATP Tour to become the third-best prize money
earner in 2025.
Zverev won
only one tournament, the BMW Open in Munich, but secured a hefty $1,900,000 cheque
by reaching
the final of the Australian Open. He ended up as a quarterfinalist
at the French Open. At Wimbledon, he couldn’t get going at all and faced an
upset in his opener. He lost in the third round of the US Open.
Apart from
the Melbourne run, he also made it to the finals in Stuttgart and Vienna.
Notably, $83,906 of his total earnings came from his efforts on the doubles circuit.
He entered the doubles draw of six ATP Masters 1000 events, in Indian Wells,
Monte Carlo, Toronto, Cincinnati, Shanghai, and Paris.
2. Carlos
Alcaraz
Carlos
Alcaraz is one of just two players to win prize money in double-digit millions
in 2025. He amassed $18,803,427 on the tour to stand second in the list.
Alcaraz won
the French Open and the US Open, minting $2,897,947 and $5,000,000, respectively.
He also produced a run to the title clash at SW19 and played the quarterfinals
in Australia.
During the
season, the Spaniard won six more titles — three at the Masters 1000 events in
Monte Carlo, Rome, Cincinnati, and one each at Rotterdam, Queen’s Club and
Tokyo. He also reached the finals in Turin at the ATP Finals and Barcelona. He finished
the year as the World No. 1.
1. Jannik
Sinner
Jannik
Sinner topped the list by racking up $19,120,641 in prize money.
He started
the year by defending his Australian Open crown, which earned him a handsome $3,500,000.
Mid-season, he won his maiden Wimbledon trophy and secured $4,124,760 for the
win. He reached the finals of the other two Grand Slams.
The Italian
reigned supreme at the ATP Finals and the Paris Masters. He also won titles in
Beijing and Vienna and reached the summit clashes in Cincinnati and Rome. He stands
first in the list of highest earners in 2025 despite having served a
three-month suspension.
