Many consider Novak Djokovic the greatest player in tennis history, and the Serbian and his sponsor, Lacoste, are leaning into that with their latest launch before the US Open.
Djokovic and Lacoste have collaborated since May 2017. The French designer sports fashion company has provided the 24-time Grand Slam champion with many impressive kits over the years.
That includes Djokovic's all-black outfit for the 2025 US Open. It is a change from the usual bright colors he elects to wear at tournaments, but it looks sharp and received highly positive reviews from fans.
However, Lacoste was not satisfied with just providing Djokovic with his kit for the season's final Grand Slam. The company released a video revealing new clothing in honor of Djokovic's status among many as the greatest of all time.
Lacoste's video, which can be watched below, starts with a compilation of several tweets from fans calling Djokovic the 'GOAT', an acronym for the greatest of all time, while audio plays in the background also calling him that.
The French company is known for the green crocodile logo on its products. Some particularly ardent Djokovic fans have the symbol on their social media profiles. Thanasi Kokkinakis says most of the abuse he gets on social media is from the tennis legend's fans with the Lacoste symbol present.
In recognition of Djokovic's broad status as the best player in tennis history, Lacoste is issuing limited-edition clothing with the green crocodile symbol replaced by a goat.
Lacoste's new clothing, promoted in the video by three of Djokovic's fans, is almost exclusively white. One of the two female fans in the video wears a hat, a white shirt, and trousers, completing a casual but stylish look.
The other female Djokovic supporter is wearing a white shirt and skirt, with some black at the bottom of the latter. Although the design is simple, it still looks good and could be worn by amateur women and girls at their clubs.
Djokovic's sole male fan in the video wears a shirt and trousers similar to those of the first Djokovic supporter, but complements them with a classy blazer, reminiscent of something Djokovic or his great rival, Roger Federer, would wear at Wimbledon.
The Serbian's very loyal fanbase is likely to flock to Lacoste's website after seeing the goat emoji and those new designs. Lacoste's partnership with Djokovic has been wildly successful, and this latest move will probably continue that trend.

Djokovic is preparing for opening round US Open match

Djokovic has not competed since losing his 2025 Wimbledon semifinal against Jannik Sinner. He was physically hampered in that contest with the eventual champion, but he has fully recovered for the US Open.
The four-time champion at Flushing Meadows will start his 2025 campaign during the first night session on the Arthur Ashe Stadium against Learner Tien, who defeated Daniil Medvedev at the 2025 Australian Open.
Djokovic needs to win one more Grand Slam to become the first singles player with 25 major crowns. He has not secured one since the 2023 US Open, but it would be foolish to write him off completely.
