Novak Djokovic seems to be unstoppable at the 2025 Miami Open. Even Grigor Dimitrov couldn't challenge the Serbian.

Djokovic hasn't lost a set in Miami so far, but the fact that his level has been so high wasn't obvious since the beginning. In the first two rounds, the Serbian player dominated against Rinky Hijikata and Camilo Ugo Carabelli, but those are not opponents up to his standard.

The 24-time Grand Slam champion then put his rivals on notice with a dominant win over Lorenzo Musetti, and he was similarly impressive also against Sebastian Korda in the quarter-finals.

Dimitrov, on the other hand, reached the final in Miami last year and made it to the semi-finals this year, which means that in his last 10 matches at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami, only Jannik Sinner managed to beat him.

Dimitrov obviously wasn't the favorite against Djokovic, who held a 12-1 H2H record against the Bulgarian player before this match, but he certainly had a chance to win this match.

He demonstrated why that was the case already in the opening game of this match. Dimitrov started with a break, which was an ideal start to the match for the Bulgarian player.

However, Djokovic was very quick to break back, and after the first two games, the score was tied at 1-1. The 37-year-old Serbian was getting ready to serve when Dimitrov confronted one of the fans in the stands.

It seemed that the former ATP World No. 3 player was told some nasty words, and he didn't like the person's presence. The umpire of the match, Greg Allensworth, handled the situation perfectly, removing the person from the stands.

The match could continue, but this wasn't an impulse that would help Dimitrov. Quite the opposite. Djokovic started dominating. He held his serve without too many issues, losing only two more points on his serve in the opening set.

At the same time, the six-time Miami Open champion was great on return as well. He broke Dimitrov's serve twice, and without too many issues, Djokovic won the first set 6-2.

The Serbian player then started the second set ideally, breaking in Dimitrov's first service game. The Bulgarian player then improved his level, but he wasn't able to recover the lost break.

Dimitrov saved one match point on his serve down 2-5, but that wasn't enough for him to start an inspired comeback. Djokovic served out the second set, winning the match 6-2, 6-3, to reach the 2025 Miami Open final.

By reaching the final, he broke yet another of Roger Federer's records. Djokovic became the oldest finalist at an ATP Masters 1000 event. He will try to break another record by winning the final.
