Novak Djokovic once again impressed in way too many ways, reaching the 2025 Miami Open semi-finals but also breaking another record.

It's been a record-breaking week for the Serbian legend in Miami. First, he broke Rafael Nadal's record for most ATP Masters 1000 wins, and now, he also broke Roger Federer's record.

To do that, the 37-year-old player needed to overcome Sebastian Korda, and that was a challenging task. The American player played some inspired tennis at the ATP Masters 1000 event in Miami this year.

Both started really well in this match, holding their serves without too many issues, but that was the case only until the balls changed. That was when Djokovic was in the middle of his 12-point winning streak, which saw him hold his serve twice and break Korda's to love.

Thanks to that streak, the 24-time Grand Slam champion easily won the first set of the match 6-3 in just 29 minutes of play. It was a needed set, especially because his opponent started better in the second set.

Korda was the first player to break, and his start to the second set was incredibly impressive. The 24-year-old American won 14 of the first 16 rallies, but that still didn't give him more than a one-break lead.

That lead ultimately wasn't enough for Korda. Serving for the set at 5-3, the American player felt the pressure, committing a few unforced errors which got his opponent back in play.

Djokovic, on the other hand, was incredibly solid, fighting for every ball, which yielded great results for the six-time Miami Open champion. He was able to break back, and after both players held their serve (Djokovic even after overcoming another 0-30 deficit), a tie-break had to decide the second set.

It was a very close tie-break, but serving was what decided it. Korda struggled to put any returns back in play, which gave his opponent plenty of free points.

On his serve, the American player faced some issues, which is why he lost it once. That was more than enough for Djokovic to win this match 6-3, 7-6(4), booking a spot in the semi-finals of the 2025 Miami Open. Djokovic's next opponent will be his good friend Grigor Dimitrov.

By beating Korda, Djokovic also secured another record. He became the oldest man to reach the semi-finals at an ATP Masters 1000 tournament. Currently 37 years and 10 months old, the Serbian legend broke the record of Roger Federer, who won the title in Miami in 2019 when he was 37 years and 7 months old.

That age is currently the record for the oldest finalist, as well as the oldest champion, and Djokovic will have a chance to break both of those records.
