The 2025 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, scheduled from April 14th to 20th, has an unbelievable entry that will get fans to flock to the event.

Despite being a WTA 500 tournament, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix often attracts an entry list more reminiscent of those at WTA 1000 events. Last year's tournament, won by Elena Rybakina, also had several of the best female players present.

Surprisingly, Rybakina is not on the entry list for this year's Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. The Kazakhstani is scheduled to represent Kazakhstan at the 2025 Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers in Australia the week before.

Many will be surprised to see Rybakina choose the Billie Jean King Cup over her title defense in Stuttgart, especially since many other top women's players are skipping the team event to prioritize the German event.

Coco Gauff will begin her clay court season at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. Last year, the American lost a thrilling quarterfinal against Marta Kostyuk in a deciding set tiebreak after an incredible battle.

Gauff is very comfortable playing on clay, as shown by her run to the 2022 French Open final. She would undoubtedly have won more tournaments on the dirt by now were it not for the presence of Iga Swiatek.

After some disappointing results since the 2025 Australian Open, Gauff destroyed Sofia Kenin without dropping a game at the 2025 Miami Open. That might be the confidence booster that she needed.

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka is another high-profile name on the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix entry list. She also fell in a tight three-set battle last year. The 2023 Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova knocked the Belarusian out.

Sabalenka is still looking for her first title of 2025 after final losses at the Australian Open and the 2025 Indian Wells Open to Mirra Andreeva. She has one more chance to achieve it on a hard court in Miami before the clay court season.

Indian Wells Open champion Andreeva has also committed to the tournament in Stuttgart. She has created waves around the world by securing back-to-back WTA 1000 titles at the 2025 Dubai Championships and in Indian Wells.

Andreeva's maiden WTA title was on clay at the 2024 Iasi Open. The 17-year-old is comfortable on all surfaces and could continue her outstanding success at this year's Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.

Although Andreeva defeated Swiatek in Dubai and Indian Wells, the Pole is always the favorite for every clay court tournament she enters, meaning she will be the player to beat at the event in Stuttgart.

Rybakina, who has a good record against Swiatek, stunned the four-time French Open champion at last year's Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. The Kazakhstani's absence will probably boost Swiatek's chances of winning further.

American No. 2 Jessica Pegula's chances should also not be ruled out. Although the 2024 US Open runner-up likes playing on hard courts the most, she can be formidable on any surface.

Paula Badosa, Qinwen Zheng, Jasmine Paolini, Donna Vekic, and Danielle Collins are among the other players on the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix's entry list.
