Croatia played against Spain in the second Davis Cup quarterfinal and except for high-quality tennis, the tie offered also some sad scenes.

Spanish team wanted to take advantage of the home court, but they couldn't do it as Borna Coric defeated Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 7-6(4) before Marin Cilic completed Croatia's win with comeback victory over Pablo Carreno Busta 5-7, 6-3, 7-6(5).

And it was after the opening match of the quarterfinal tie between Croatia and Spain when protesters have decided to jump on the court and attempt to tie themselves to the net, while crowd waited for protagonists of the second match to step on the court.

In a tense few seconds at the Malaga stadium, a pair of protesters barged their way onto the field before running over to the net. Security guards responded by rushing after them onto the court. One of the protesters attempted to hook himself to the net and security had to step in to prevent that from happening.

The man in issue was eventually freed from the net and put to the floor by security personnel. In a moment of complete mayhem, the couple was then led off the court. The protest was obviously not well received by those in attendance, as the disruptors were booed at as they left.
