While tennis as a sport is generally associated with glamour and prestige, tennis players are mostly known through their time on the court, which these days isn’t as glamorous.

Most tennis fans know tennis players through their on-court appearances. On-court appearances can be somewhat messy because they are playing a sport, which means they’re sweaty, wet, and tired. There is very little glamour about it.

While tennis might have started as a glamorous leisure sport when players played in polo shirts and long trousers, these days, it’s about a lot of grind, sweat, and tears.

Players can spend hours on the court battling, and on clay, which is hardly the cleanest surface, things can look very messy. The only event that retains a bit of glamour essence is Wimbledon unless a player slides on the grass and gets all green on their white kit.

Even so, at times, players do embrace the glam, especially during galas accompanying an event. It does happen semi-regularly, especially at big events such as the ATP Finals which is the year-end championship held in Turin.

The second edition of the ATP Finals that will take place in Turin will run from Number 13th through 20th, and the biggest ATP stars already enjoyed their time in Turin. Before the year-end competition starts, they traditionally dressed up and attended a gala show.

The official event gala dinner was held Thursday night at Nuvola Lavazza in Turin, bringing together the top singles and doubles players from this year's ATP Finals.

Former winners Novak Djokovic, Daniil Medvedev, and Stefanos Tsitsipas were present at the event alongside fellow 2022 qualifiers Rafael Nadal, Casper Ruud, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Andrey Rublev, and Taylor Fritz.

Italy is known for its fashion and sharp dressing style, men included, and the players had to show out. For the gala dinner ahead of the event, both the singles and doubles players showed up in some really expensive-looking suits.

It was a very interesting sight to behold because most fans know these players in their match uniforms or casual clothes for some ATP features. Very rarely are they seen in formal suits.

Some of them looked really sharp, some looked a bit uncomfortable, and others looked a bit out of place, but overall, it was an interesting sight to behold.
