Roger Federer hasn't played since the 2021 Wimbledon; however, now it looks like the Swiss Maestro is on the right path to return.
The 20-time Grand Slam champion shared a video from his practice a few weeks ago that hinted that he will come back to the courts soon. Now, Roger Federer shared some practice from his rehabilitation with a caption saying: "Rehab is rockinggggggg."
For many tennis fans, that's very good news, and it looks like Federer might be preparing for the 2022 Wimbledon to give the 21st Grand Slam title one more shot as he will most probably skip the whole clay-court season.
The last time fans got to see the Swiss player on the tennis court was when Federer lost to Hubert Hurkacz in the quarterfinals of the 2021 Wimbledon. The former world no. 1 lost 3-6, 6-7(4), 0-6, and he hasn't participated in any tournament on the ATP Tour since then.
After the 20-time Grand Slam champion posted the video from his rehabilitation, many of his fellow tennis players were happy to see him back on track and commented with cheerful comments.
Some of the most recognized players in the comments included Fabio Fognini, Denis Shapovalov, Diego Schwartzman, and even a colleague from the WTA Tour, Belinda Bencic, who has recently won the 2022 Charleston Open.
While the Swiss Maestro is trying to stage a comeback, one of his biggest rivals, Novak Djokovic, recently talked about his motivation at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters.
On the other hand, Rafael Nadal received a trophy for becoming the first man to win 21 Grand Slam titles. So, it seems that while they all have some kind of struggles, on or off the court, the Big Three are not going anywhere, and the tennis fans can look forward to a lot of battles in the years to come.
