Novak Djokovic and famous football player Neymar Jr. enjoyed a fun time in Monte Carlo as the Serbian prepares for his first match at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters.
World number 1 on the ATP Tour, Novak Djokovic is in full preparation to show the whole world that he's ready to win matches after sitting out for almost the whole season so far, but still, he found some time to have fun in Monte Carlo, Monaco.
Football players from Paris Saint-Germain, Neymar Jr. and Marco Verratti, came to the tournament venue and, among others, also met Novak Djokovic. The Serbian is a big fan of AC Milan, but he has a passion for football in general, showcasing his skills multiple times in the past.
When the three met, they enjoyed some good laughs, took some pictures, but also played with a large tennis ball, which they used to make a few 'keepie-ups.' Once again, Djokovic proved that he's a well-rounded man in every sport and showed off his football skills, too.
Neymar Jr. and Marco Verratti also met Alexander Zverev and Marcelo Melo in Monte Carlo and then enjoyed the first-round match between Fabio Fognini and Arthur Rinderknech, which was won by the more experienced Italian player, who triumphed in Monte Carlo in 2019.
For Djokovic, the focus is back to the tournament, as he'll need to use every bit of his motivation to show the world that he can still win big trophies, as he struggled a lot during the 2022 season, but not only because of his game, but also external factors.
You can watch the funny video of the three meeting below. It was a really nice interaction, and Djokovic funnily over-reacted after he wasn't able to keep the ball in the air, as Neymar Jr. and Verratti quickly came to greet the Serbian legend.
