Nick Kyrgios participated in every Laver Cup event since it started, except for the 2022 Laver Cup that was won by Team World for the first time in competition's history.
It was already the fifth edition of Laver Cup and the 27-years-old Australian competed in all four before. In three out of four events, Nick Kyrgios played against the 20-time Grand Slam champion, Roger Federer, who retired from professional tennis at the 2022 Laver Cup, but he is still the third most successful player of Team World and fifth most successful player overall at the Laver Cup.
At the inaugural edition of the Laver Cup, Nick Kyrgios teamed up with Jack Sock to get first point for Team World in the history of competition and on Saturday, he added two more points as Team World was heading into Day 3 with only one person that scored points, Nick Kyrgios.
After John Isner teamed up with Jack Sock to get three points and then added three more on his own, the Australian took on Roger Federer in the final match of the event, but lost after an incredible battle that was decided by two tie-breaks.
Next year, in 2018, Kyrgios teamed up with Sock again to get two points for his team, but wasn't so successful in singles against no other than the Swiss Maestro.
In 2019, the Australian fought hard against Roger Federer once again, but only came short after 7-6(5), 5-7, 7-10 loss. But later, he joined Jack Sock in doubles once again to get important points for his team.
Last year was the least successful for Kyrgios when he lost in both singles and doubles, but still he's the third most successful player in Team World's history and it's a paradox that team captained by John McEnroe won their first ever Laver Cup trophy at the first event they played without Kyrgios, who's having the best season of his career.
Most probably, the Australian will be hungry for more success with Team World next year and join them to make it back-to-back victories alongside his good friends Jack Sock, Frances Tiafoe and John Isner.
Most points earned in Laver Cup:
20 - Jack Sock
18 - Roger Federer
18 - Alexander Zverev
15 - John Isner
7 - Nick Kyrgios
