The Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS) Tour will have a new destination in 2025 as Guadalajara has been added to the mix, with players such as Nick Kyrgios, Casper Ruud, and Denis Shapovalov set to attend.
The UTS is an event that was founded as an exhibition but grew to become a celebration of tennis with a very specific format, which was embraced by both fans and tennis players.
Since its inception a few years ago, the UTS Tour has grown in size, staging events all around the world, including a final showdown in London which saw Jack Draper win the trophy and a hefty paycheque.
It is an event favored by showman players such as Gael Monfils and Nick Kyrgios because it offers them a chance to play loosely, unlike competitive matches that require a much more serious approach.
In 2025, fans will get another city added to the UTS Tour. It will be Guadalajara in Mexico, which has shown itself to be a city that is very passionate about tennis. In the past few years, a few WTA events were hosted in Mexico, including the WTA Finals, which proved to be a significant success.
People love tennis in Mexico, and the atmosphere is always amazing, which is likely why the city was chosen to host a UTS event in 2025. It will be staged from February 13th to the 16th, and it will be the first UTS event staged in Latin America.
It’s also one of the four UTS tournaments scheduled to take place in 2025. A few players have already confirmed their attendance. Leading the field is Nick Kyrgios, who will return to Mexico, where he once won a title in Acapulco.
The Australian has enjoyed his time in the country whenever he has played there. Besides Kyrgios, fans will get a chance to see Casper Ruud back again, as the Norwegian has great memories of the events there.
He has played some amazing tennis in Mexico over the years and will now be battling for the UTS trophy. Denis Shapovalov, and Flavio Cobolli, who will be making his debut on the UTS Tour, have also confirmed their participation.
It just promises to be a really interesting affair, as UTS Chairman Patrick Mouratoglou confirmed his delight at having an event staged in Mexico. It likely won't be the last one, either.

Players will share a total of $1.4 million in prize money, with the winner getting $420,000 alongside a spectacular trophy.
