Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and Daniil Medvedev were heads and shoulders above the rest of the tour regarding consistency in results and rankings throughout last season.

Each spent over 30 weeks in the world's Top 3. No other player came close to matching this number. Djokovic, who started his season ranked 5th in the standings, topped the year-end rankings for a record-extending eighth time.

The Serbian ace tallied a staggering 48 weeks ranked in the world's Top 3, split between 32 (as No. 1), 13 (as No. 2), and 3 (as No. 3). Djokovic was the ATP's MVP in 2023, winning the most singles titles (seven) including three Grand Slams.

He became the first man to win three of the four Slams in the same season four times (2011, 2015, 2021 and 2023). Djokovic also amassed nearly $16 million in prize money. Despite being denied millions in bonus payments, he still ended the year as the highest earner on tour.

Alcaraz, who lost the number one ranking to Djokovic, had a stellar season too. The young Spaniard added a second Grand Slam title to his trophies collection at Wimbledon, beating the Serbian superstar in a thrilling five-set final.

The 20-year-old spent 20 weeks as World No. 1 in 2023 and another 32 weeks as World No. 2. He never vacated his place in the world's Top 2 during last season. Medvedev, for his part, won the most matches on the ATP Tour last season and bagged five titles.

The Russian had a campaign to forget in 2022 in which inconsistency cut short his reign as the world No. 1. But he was a rejuvenated player in 2023. Having dropped outside the world's Top 10 in February, Medveded hauled himself inside the Top 3.

Overall, he compiled 36 weeks there (33 as World No. 3). There were 15 ATP players who spent at least one week in the Top 10 last. Moreover, five players spent all 52 weeks there.
