The young Spaniard, Carlos Alcaraz will move already to the sixth place in the ATP Rankings after turning 19-years-old just 2 days ago and many predict him a great future.
On Friday, Carlos Alcaraz defeated his idol, Rafael Nadal, to reach the semifinals of the 2022 Madrid Open. Currently, he sits on the third place in the ATP Race, however, he can soon move to the first position what could possibly mean that he has a chance of becoming world number 1 already this season.
During past few weeks, there has been a lot said about Carlos Alcaraz. Almost every expert predicts him a great future, Grand Slam title maybe already in 2022 and reaching world number 1 of the ATP Rankings. However, former coach of Serena Williams, Rick Macci, took it a step further, when he said he can see the young Spaniard "becoming the greatest player of all time".
"I've seen Federer, Nadal and Djokovic when they were young, but in the last 30 years I haven't seen anyone like Carlos Alcaraz. I can see this guy becoming the greatest player of all time."
