Jannik Sinner is one of the most promising youngsters on the ATP Tour, and the Italian is improving every day which he highlighted after his loss at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters.

The 20-year-old Jannik Sinner had a stunning 2021 season when he triumphed at four tournaments and finished the year in the Top 10 of the ATP Rankings. In 2022, he won 19 out of 23 matches he played, but despite that, he never got past the quarterfinals at any tournament this year.

It was no different at the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters. The young Italian defeated Borna Coric, Emil Ruusuvuori, and Andrey Rublev before eventually losing a tie-break in the third set against Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals.

Sinner, however, keeps improving every day, and it's him, Carlos Alcaraz, and Felix Auger-Aliassime, who are by far the best players under 22 years on the ATP Tour right now. After his most recent loss, Sinner reflected on his performance on Instagram.

"Thank you Monte-Carlo, not an easy one to take and defeats like these are hard, but every match is a lesson. Onwards and upwards, grazie for the incredible support this week."

The Italian is looking at things very well, as he doesn't see his loss as only a defeat, but rather a lesson that will move him forward in his career. That's certainly a mindset that will move him forward, as that's something that Sinner will certainly do in the coming months.

He's one of the most talented tennis players to ever come from his country, despite being professionally committed to alpine skiing for the big part of his childhood. However, once Sinner transitioned to tennis, his talent was palpable.

After the 2022 Monte-Carlo Masters exit, he will want to focus on the remainder of the clay-court season, as there's a lot of trophies to be won, with the Grand Slam tournament on the red clay to be played as well.
