The 2020 US Open champion, Dominic Thiem is still struggling to get back to his top form as he withdrew from another tournament, this time the 2022 Wimbledon.

The Austrian was never successful in the All England Club as he didn't win a match at Wimbledon since 2017. It's the only Grand Slam tournament, where Dominic Thiem lost more matches than he won and that might be also one of the reasons why he has decided to skip it and rather focus on clay or hard-court preparation.

Currently, Thiem is on a 11-match losing streak and he lost all the matches he played in 2022 and failed to win a set in his last 5 matches. Yet, he's still working on his games and trying to get back to where he used to be, but that seems to be very difficult.

Andy Murray could lead a great example for the Austrian as his more experienced colleague plays with a metal hip and despite the early struggles, he's building his way back to the top of the ATP Rankings where also Thiem would like to return.
