Rafael Nadal recently made tennis history but something much more important will happen in a few months as revealed in the new edition of the Hola newspaper in Spain.

There have been weeks of speculation in Spain that Xisca might be pregnant but the newspaper was able to confirm the news. The pair wed in 2019 after a 15-year-old relationship with Nadal always expressing his desire to become a father.

He will be the final member of the big three to become a father and the baby is due in a couple of months. In the meantime, the 22-time Grand Slam champion is preparing for the 2022 Wimbledon where he will try to win his 3rd Grand Slam title of the season.

“It’s going to be a radiofrequency injection on the nerve to try to burn the nerve a little bit and create the impact that I have now on the nerve for a long period of time,” Nadal said. “If that works, I’m going to keep going. If not then it’s going to be another story.”

Cadena SER sports programme reported that: “The sensations are positive but we have to see how it evolves with the workload. If the answer is positive during the week, he will decide whether to take the step and participate in Wimbledon. There is optimism, but with caution to see the evolution.”
