Alex de Minaur failed to win a title at the Queen's Club last year, but he has a chance to win the 2024 Libema Open, taking on Sebastian Korda in the final.
The Australian has had a really strong season so far, with some very impressive performances across the board. He's even won a trophy this year and improved on clay, which are very positive signs for de Minaur, who is hoping to take the next step and become a Top 10 regular.
He's getting close, and winning the Libema Open would be a pretty good step towards that. Standing between him and the trophy is Korda, a super-talented player who is also hungry for some ATP Tour-level trophies.
He's only got one to his name but he has been on a tear this week in Den Bosch, looking every bit a champion of this event. He hasn't had the same year as de Minaur, but that's mostly due to his streakiness, which is his biggest nemesis. If he were more consistent, he would likely be a Top 10 player.
The two have played a few times in the past and even once this year. This year's match happened at the Rotterdam Open, which de Minaur won easily in two sets. Another meeting happened at Wimbledon, which Korda won in four sets.
It's an interesting matchup since this upcoming match will be played on grass, the only surface Korda has beaten de Minaur on before. The Australian has improved on it, so this should be a pretty close match.

Korda has the advantage of both the serve and weapons and should be able to win this one if he keeps up his current level. De Minaur can extend the rallies and hope for errors, but overall, I think Korda wins this one.
Prediction: Sebastian Korda to win in three sets.
