A lot is known about Carlos Alcaraz's tennis abilities, but one thing that he has shied away from discussing with the media is his love life until recently.
Alcaraz is considered a flag bearer of the new generation of tennis players, having enjoyed an extraordinary rise into the upper echelons of the sport. He's been ranked World No. 1 before—the youngest in ATP history—and captured his third Grand Slam at the French Open last month.
At 21, Alcaraz has already amassed over $30 million in career prize money. In the last 12 months, his net worth and social media following have soared, suggesting he is a popular figure for potential sponsors.
Additionally, his agent, Albert Molina, recently explained that keeping tabs on Alcaraz's relationship with women concerns him as it is the one area where the young Spaniard maintains confidentiality, so they cut off personal calls.
In an interview with the Sunday Times, the World No. 3 revealed his dating life, stating that he is looking for a partner. However, he opined that the nature of professional tennis makes it hard to find the perfect match.
"No, I am single. I am looking for someone. It can be difficult as a tennis player to meet the right person because you are travelling all the time."
The three-time Grand Slam champion, who won his opening match at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships against Mark Lajal, also spoke about his social life and his penchant for meeting famous celebrities, although he indicated that he exhibits a certain amount of restraint.
"Sure, I like to meet famous people, and I really enjoy going to parties to meet famous athletes. But not too much. Let’s say that you have to find the right time. If you have something every day you are going to get bored of it. I have to find occasional things to enjoy."
