The 2024 Hamburg Open is one of the most prestigious ATP 500 events on the calendar, and the organizers have offered prize money to match it.
With its rich history of welcoming the best in men's tennis over the years, the 2024 edition is no different. The Hamburg Open is set to assemble five of the world's Top 30 players, with defending champion Alexander Zverev spearheading the lineup. The 27-year-old is competing in his home city.
Holger Rune, Sebastian Baez, Francisco Cerundolo, and 2022 champion Lorenzo Musetti will join the German top seed in a packed field. Players who will also contend for the crown and points will also include Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, Luciano Darderi, and Matteo Arnaldi.
Laslo Djere was runner-up last year. The Serbian misses out on competing at the Olympics but will go all out for glory in Germany. For the 2024 edition, players competing in Hamburg will battle to win a generous sum of the total prize money, which has been confirmed as €1,891,995.
This represents a marginal increase of €60,480 from 12 months ago. Prize money distribution begins in the opening round of the main draw. There is a financial but not ranking incentive for a first-round loss. Players who exit the tournament at this stage will earn €14,760.
Winning one main draw match can be financially rewarding because the tournament will pay out €27,670 in prize money and award 50 points to those who fall at this stage.
Quarterfinalists get a significant boost in their earnings and ranking. They will bank €51,835 and receive 100 points. As for those who make it to the weekend, they will each make six figures in pay.
The semi-finalists stand to cash in a paycheck of €101,460 and 200 points. The champion, meanwhile, will earn €353,750 and receive 500 points, while the runner-up gets €190,345 along with 330 points. For the full overview of prize money and points allocation, be sure to check the table below.
