The 2024 Dallas Open will be the only ATP tournament held on indoor hard courts in the United States and will run from February 5th to 11th.
This ATP 250 tournament was incepted back in 2022 to replace the now-defunct New York Open and will return to the calendar for its third edition with an increased level in prize money amounts, which is confirmed to be $756,020, almost six percent growth from last year.
The entry list for the 2024 Dallas Open has already been released with the American contingent in full voice. Tommy Paul will be the tournament's top seed, one of four Top 20 players elected to play at his home event.
Rising star Ben Shelton, the flamboyant Frances Tiafoe, and the evergreen Adrian Mannarino will add plenty of star power. Reilly Opelka is one of three wild card entrants at the tournament, but it remains to be seen whether he will be fit enough to play, having pulled out from the Australian Open.
For the prize money, the marginal increase will see players' takeaway pay change from last season. Right from the first round, even those players who fail to record a match win will be guaranteed a near five-figure paycheck. They will be paid $8,110 but won't receive any ranking points.
Second-round losers will make $13,270 and will receive 25 points, which could be priceless in their bid to climb in the standings. From the quarterfinals, it is where pay gets significantly higher. Those who fall in the last eight stage will make $22,850 and will receive 50 points.
Semifinalists stand to gain $39,435 along with 100 points. The two players lucky enough to headline the tournament's final day will be compensated handsomely.
The champion will make six figures amounting to $114,970, along with 250 ranking points, while the runner-up will take home $67,070 and will be awarded 165 points. Be sure to check the complete prize money breakdown for the 2024 Dallas Open down below.
