From June 12th to 18th, the 2023 Libema Open will be played in 's-Hertogenbosch as one of the first two ATP 250 grass-court events.
Held shortly after the clay-court Grand Slam, the draw of the tournament played in the Netherlands is always filled with names that didn't do so well in Paris and want to forget previous disappointment with a good start to the grass-court season.
One of those players is certainly Daniil Medvedev. The Russian lost already in the first round at the Roland Garros and he even had time to attend a Formula 1 race in the meantime. But now, it's game time for Medvedev, who will be the first-seeded player at the 2023 Libema Open.
Looking to his second round match, as the top four seeds have a bye in the first round, the World No. 2, who is set to drop to 3rd on Monday, will meet either Adrian Mannarino or one of the qualifiers.
But all of the eyes will be on one particular name in 's-Hertogenbosch. Milos Raonic is making his comeback to the ATP Tour, and he'll do that on the surface that brought him the most success in the past, reaching the 2016 Wimbledon final.
In the first round of the tournament, the Canadian will play against the fifth-seeded Miomir Kecmanovic, a difficult test as a first match back. Another interesting name in the draw is the third-seeded Borna Coric, who will play against Mackenzie McDonald or Ilya Ivashka in the second round.
But also the bottom part of the draw promises a lot of interesting matches. One maybe also in the second round as the second-seeded Jannik Sinner, who received a wild card, is set to meet Alexander Bublik or a qualifier.
The fourth-seeded Alex de Minaur will also want to make his mark on the grass courts of the 2023 Libema Open, and he'll have a chance to show his qualities in the second round against either Laslo Djere or a qualifier.
