Aryna Sabalenka was in a very good mood after her victory over Jessica Pegula in her last round-robin match at the 2022 WTA Finals in Fort Worth.

Despite beating the top-ranked American player, Sabalenka couldn't be sure that she would advance from the group. However, after Maria Sakkari won the first set against Ons Jabeur, the Belarusian could celebrate that she would fight in the Final Four in Texas.

After her victory over Pegula, there was a lot of smiling and joking from the Belarusian No. 1. Sabalenka thanked the crowd in Fort Worth, but she jokingly took aim at one of the fans who annoyed her during the match.

"Thanks, everyone, for your support, except for that guy. Now you are sending me kisses but you were like so annoying. But anyway, thanks, thanks for the great atmosphere."

One of the fans, who was present in the arena, detailed the situation in the comments under the video. The person explained that the fan was supporting Sabalenka's opponent, Pegula.

"LMAO, I was there sitting next to the "annoying" guy saying, 'Come on, Jessica, u can do it,' literally after every point. He said he had money on her, but it was never mean-spirited. We waved at her when she pointed in our direction."

Sabalenka will take on World No. 1 in the WTA Rankings, Iga Swiatek, in the semi-finals of the 2022 WTA Final. However, after her last round-robin win, the Belarusian focused on the positives of her last win instead of her next opponent.

"I keep saying to myself, 'Just stay focused, keep fighting -- it doesn’t matter, two or three sets, just get the win, the extra points.'"
"At the end was a little pressure because you try to not think about this, but this thing stays in your mind. I’m happy that I was able to finish it in two sets. In the beginning, I said to my team that I’d prefer the second match to 100 percent know what I have to do to get through."
