A very interesting week of tennis in Toronto brought a couple of changes to the WTA Rankings, even though Iga Swiatek kept the World No. 1 position.

Like every Monday, the new edition of the WTA Rankings was released, and unsurprisingly, there is still one player dominating, as Iga Swiatek leads with 8,501 points.

The Polish player has almost double the points that her closest opponent has, as the second, Anett Kontaveit, has 4,476 points to her name.

Coco Gauff, who played in the quarter-finals of the WTA 1000 event in Toronto, actually lost one sport on the singles ranking, dropping down to number 12, and her Top 10 debut in the singles ranking will have to wait another week.

The American could have broken into the top ten two weeks ago during the San Jose Open, but she failed to beat Paula Badosa, and her Top 10 debut has still yet to happen.

However, she won the doubles trophy with Jessica Pegula in Toronto, and that was enough for her to become the new World No. 1 player in doubles.

When it comes to the singles, there have been some changes below the top two. Maria Sakkari made it back to World No. 3 position with 4,190 points, as Paula Badosa slid down to place number, only 35 points behind the Greek player.

Simona Halep returned to the Top 10 thanks to her win in Toronto, as she moved up by nine spots, and she's now ranked sixth with 3,255 points behind Ons Jabeur, who has 3,920.

The other Canadian Open finalist, Beatriz Haddad Maia, moved up by eight spots to World No. 16 position. It's a new career high ranking for her, and she was joined by Qinwen Zheng in that regard, as the Chinese player moved up by 10 spots to the 41st place.
