Mirra Andreeva has basically cruised through the 2024 Brisbane International draw without any strong opposition so can Linda Noskova provide that?

Mirra Andreeva played a lot of tennis this year, a lot of great tennis. Despite being overwhelmed by sharing the court with established players in Abu Dhabi, Andreeva held her own pretty well and delivered some crucial points for her team en route to the victory.

Fast forward to the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane, the Russian keeps playing amazing tennis. She easily overcame her opponent in the first round, she smashed her opponent in the second round, and did the same thing in the third round.

Now, the 16-year-old is hoping to do the same against Linda Noskova in the quarter-final. The Czech player is a great talent in her own right, so this is basically a showdown of the future, one that we'll be watching for many years to come. So how will it go?

Head-to-head:

It's a pretty good question and one that is kind of tricky to answer. We didn't see this matchup so far but let's break it down. Despite being 16 years old, Andreeva is not your regular player.

She's played quite a few matches on the WTA Tour already and showed that she belongs at the top. Experience is lacking, but she has enough talent to make most players quite uncomfortable.

Noskova is a player that plays best on clay. That being said, she's a capable player on hard courts because she has an attacking style with precise shots.

Prediction:

This match will mostly come down to who has the better shots at any given moment. For the most part, Andreeva should come out on top because she seems more stable.

Noskova can beat her but will need a really clean effort, which I'm not sure she'll be able to deliver after three matches that went to three sets.

She's probably tired by now because they all came in consecutive days and she's fairly young herself. She doesn't have much experience, and the less-tiring matches can prove decisive for the Russian player.

Prediction: Mirra Andreeva to win in two sets.
