Iga Swiatek thinks that some of her rivals might be jealous of how well she's been doing in 2022.

Swiatek can surpass a 10,000-point mark in the WTA Rankings if she wins the 2022 US Open. The 21-year-old Pole has been the most dominant player of the season so far, and it also showed when she managed to win 37 matches in a row.

Many players congratulated her, but Swiatek feels that some are also jealous about how well she has been doing in 2022. At the US Open, she already defeated Jasmine Paolini, Sloane Stephens, and Lauren Davis without losing a set.

She will try to add her second Grand Slam title in 2022, and she might do that even without appreciation from some of her rivals. Swiatek admitted that while many players are supportive, she knows that some are probably jealous as well.

"Well, I know that during all these tournaments, there were many players who congratulated me. I felt like it was really appreciated that I'm so consistent, that I'm doing so much work."
"But honestly, I don't know how they feel about that, what they feel about that. I got positive feedback even from Alize Cornet when she won and ended that streak."
"I'm pretty happy they are supportive, but I'm sure that some of them are jealous a little bit. We are all working to win basically, even though we should focus on the process and stuff. It's normal to want to win."

At the same time, Swiatek admitted that she doesn't directly feel jealousy, which she is happy about. It creates a better environment for her and everyone else.

"I'm just happy that they are not showing it so much that they kind of envy it. I would envy as well. I'm happy that I was the one who was winning for a while."
