Iga Swiatek has topped the 2022 WTA prize money list by nearly $5 million more than the next on the list.
The Pole dominated the tour for large parts of the season, winning eight singles titles, two Grand Slams and becoming only the second player to achieve 11,000 rankings points for a year, behind Serena Williams who achieved the feat in 2013.
Swiatek collected $9,875,525 for her years work with closest challenger being Ons Jabeur who accumulated $4,976,594 for 2022.
WTA Finals winner Caroline Garcia is in third place on the year-end list, earning $3.353,354, including around $2 million for her triumph at the season-ending finals at Fort Worth, Texas.
Wimbledon winner Elena Rybakina sits in fourth place with $3,165,252 won and American Jessica Pegula makes up the top five with $3,165,252, which included $434,293 from her successful doubles stint with fellow US star Coco Gauff, who is sixth on the list.
Amazingly, Ashleigh Barty, who retired in March after winning the Australian Open, hangs on to a place in the top ten prize money earners, sitting in ninth place on $2,271,220.
Maria Sakkari, Aryna Sabalenka and Simona Halep make up the other places in the top ten.
Naomi Osaka, who only played 23 times, still earned $1,100,796 over the season, taking her to 30th place on the list.
Emma Raducanu, who had a below par season, was 58th on the top earners list, earning $695,377 throughout the year.
