Djokovic, Alcaraz, Nadal & more among ATP Awards nominees

The 2022 ATP season is over and it's time to award some of the players in certain categories.

Full list of the 2022 ATP Awards nominees, which are voted by players, has been revealed and it offers some interesting names over five categories. Comeback Player of the Year, Most Improved Player of the Year, Newcomer of the Year and Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award are all voted by players while Coach of the Year is voted by coaches.

Four players have been nominated for the Comeback Player of the Year. Borna Coric, who lifted his first ATP 1000 title, Dominic Thiem, Stan Wawrinka and also Wu Yibing.

Five athletes will fight for the Newcomer of the Year as one is a very big favourite. Jack Draper, Jiri Lehecka, Ben Shelton and Chun-Hsin Tseng all showed very solid performances in 2022, but Holger Rune managed to win the Paris Masters and break into Top 10 of the ATP Rankings.

Carlos Alcaraz, Maxime Cressy, Jack Draper and Holger Rune are nominated for the Most Improved Player of the Year as the Spanish no. 1 will be a big favourite to win this one.

Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award that was won by Roger Federer record amount of times will go to one of these players this season: Carlos Alcaraz, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Rafael Nadal, Casper Ruud and Frances Tiafoe.

Coach of the Year will be one of the coaches of a Top 10 member. Those are Juan Carlos Ferrero, who coaches Carlos Alcaraz, Frederic Fontang, who is Felix Auger-Aliassime's coach, Goran Ivanisevic, who coaches Novak Djokovic, Michael Russell, who works with Taylor Fritz, and father and coach of Casper Ruud, Christian.
