'I Don't Think This Is My Best': Raducanu Fires Warning To Swiatek After Commanding Win

Emma Raducanu has played amazing tennis so far this week, but she's pretty certain this isn't everything she's got, which she's using as a warning to Iga Swiatek.

Raducanu has a four-match winning streak, the last of which happened at the 2021 US Open, which she won. Believe it or not, this is her longest winning streak since her career highlight almost three years ago.

That shows how good she's played recently, and surprisingly, it's come on clay. The winning streak will be seriously tested in the quarter-final of the WTA 500 event when she faces Iga Swiatek in a 'can't miss' matchup between the two.

It will be a very interesting meeting because one of their previous matches took place at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart, and the Polish player won 'only' 6-4, 6-4.

We might see a pretty close match again, especially with how well Raducanu has played. She recently admitted that this might be the best tennis she's ever played, which shows her confidence. Even so, she said this is not her peak, and she is even better.

"I must say I’m not too surprised because I’ve been working really hard on the training court and I knew it was a matter of time. Honestly, I don’t think this is my best. I still have a long way to go."

The more important thing for Raducanu was finally seeing the fruits of her labor because she's been working really hard, but wins haven't really come before this week.

"But, I’m just really happy the rewards are starting to come on the match court because you know how it is when you are training day in and day out, and you feel like the results aren't exactly going your way, but it’s never that far away, I guess. And that's something I have been learning. Just doing the right things every single day, and things happen and you don't even know how or why."
