Jannik Sinner shies away from attracting too much publicity about his private life, but he might have let the cat out of the bag.

For the top-ranked tennis stars, the discussion about their love life is subject to intense scrutiny. In Sinner's case, winning his first Grand Slam at the Australian Open has seen his popularity soar to unimaginable levels back home.

A recent revelation by Sinner, the Italian Open tournament director, has transformed the tennis audience in Italy into one that resembles a football match.

As the spotlight shines brightly on the 22-year-old, he has maintained a strict policy regarding what he shares with his fans and tennis community on social media.

In an interview with La Repubblica last year, Sinner stated that he'd only use social media platforms to bond with fans and promote his career. He promised not to share any information about his private life, including details of his dating partner.

At the time, the World No. 2 was reportedly dating social media influencer and fashion model Maria Braccini, his girlfriend for the past three years. But there has been fresh development recently with an internet rumor that has spread like wildfire.

Apparently, Sinner ended his love affair with Braccini, but if reports from his home country are to be believed, it hasn't taken him long to find a new partner.

The Italian was in Turin less than two weeks ago undergoing rehab for the hip injury he sustained in Madrid. It was there where Sinner is rumored to have met with Anna Kalinskaya, the WTA world No. 25 who has enjoyed a breakthrough season in 2024.

In a rather more intriguing twist, Sinner honored a fan's request for a photo in the streets of Monaco, where he resides. At the time of the snapshot, he was holding his personal phone and receiving an incoming call from a supposed Kalinskaya whose name showed up as "Anna."

Thanks to some tech-savvy tennis fans, this might confirm the top secret that Sinner has not shared with the world. If it is true, Sinner will join a new wave of tennis couples, including Stefanos Tsitsipas, who has reunited with Paula Badosa, and Alex de Minaur, who is dating Katie Boulter.
