Coco Gauff is not just the poster girl of American tennis, but also the poster girl of an upcoming new edition of the Captain Marvel movie series - The Marvels.

The young tennis sensation is one of three American women athletes featured in the promotional video of the new movie which she shared on social media alongside basketball legend Diana Taurasi and sprinter Sydney McLaughlin.

Gauff was ecstatic being featured in the ad which depicts the three athletes switching from their professional ventures and trading places of their compatriot sports. The movie is scheduled for a release date of November 10.

19-year-old Gauff is seen prepping to serve but turns into a basketball player just after tossing the tennis ball. Olympic gold medalist McLaughlin picks up Gauff's racket, while Diana Taurasi swaps the basketball court for the track.

"I'm in a marvel ad. This is not a drill! ahhh."
Gauff shared the video on her Instagram handle

Gauff's marketability and prominence have skyrocketed since winning her first Grand Slam title at the US Open in September. She was ranked in the Top 10 in Forbes' list of highest-paid active tennis players in the past year, with 80% of her income coming from sponsors.

This season, she has enjoyed the best year of her tennis career. Aside from winning the New York Slam, she also won titles in Auckland, Washington, and Cincinnati - one of two players (the other is Iga Swiatek) to have won a title in every tournament category in 2023.

Gauff has also crossed the $6 million mark in prize money for 2023 (having previously crossed the $10 million mark in career earnings), which is her highest return in a single season since she turned professional. Her singles campaign ended with a semifinal defeat to her good friend Jessica Pegula at the WTA Finals in Cancun.
