Although Coco Gauff is yet to win a title in 2022, the young American is probably having the best season of her career so far.

Coco Gauff played her first Grand Slam final at the 2022 Roland Garros and she performed quite well at many other events that she joined. After finishing last year as world number 22, the teenage sensation is now ranked 11th and it's just a matter of time when she breaks into the Top 10 of the WTA Rankings for the first time in her career.

Gauff has currently 2647 points in the rankings and she collected 2262 of those this season. And since there is only one dominant figure on the WTA tour this year and that is Iga Swiatek, there are many players that collected more points than the young American this year.

In fact, there are only two. Iga Swiatek and Ons Jabeur. While the Pole is 5000 points ahead of Gauff, Jabeur is only 728 points ahead of Gauff who can soon become world number 2. With the WTA 1000 events in Toronto and Cincinnati coming up, Gauff has a big chance of breaking into the Top 10 for the first time in her career.

Moreover, if she continues to deliver solid results and has a good run at the 2022 US Open, she is in a great position to challenge Jabeur for the no. 2 spot. However, even if she doesn't, she's still in a pole position to finish the year as world number 3 and that would be a great achievement for still only 18-years-old sensation.
