Coco Gauff kicks off her 50th week in a row ranked in the world's Top 10 after solidifying her spot there with a maiden WTA 1000 title in Cincinnati.

Gauff broke the WTA Top 10 for the first time last summer when she produced her career-best run at her home Slam, reaching the last eight at the 2022 US Open before bowing out at the hands of Caroline Garcia. But she hasn't left the WTA's elite band, staying there for precisely a year.

This week, she begins her 50th week there after a stellar hard-court summer saw her clinch the two biggest titles of her fledlging career, first at the WTA 500 in Washington and the WTA 1000 at the Western & Southern Open where she upset top seed Iga Swiatek en route to the final.

Alot had transpired in teh aftermath of her shock, meek exit in the first round of Wimbledon to Sofia Kenin. Gauff quickly made amends, calling on the services of celebrated coach Brad Gilbert to join her team in a trial capacity. Speaking to WTA Insider Podcast, Gauff is already setting sights on her next adventure - the US Open - which kicks off in under a week.

"I'm going to give it my all in US Open. If things go great, that's exciting. If not, I go back and work hard and get ready for the next one. That's kind of the mentality you have to have."

Gauff also moves up a spot to No. 6 ahead of Garcia in the latest WTA rankings after winning 11 of her past 12 matches. The only defeat in that timespan came against her doubles partner and World No. 3 Jessica Pegula in Montreal, who is also one of only two players to take a set off her since the start of August.

This is now Gauff's career-best season, having won 38 matches and capturing three titles in the process.
