The 2023 Winston-Salem Open is the last ATP 250 tournament before the last major of the season, and it offers substantial prize money to players competing.

For those that want to compete at one more tournament before heading to New York, the Winston-Salem Open presents a great chance to do so, and also a considerable amount of matches, as it's a rare ATP 250 tournament with a 48-player draw.

After Adrian Mannarino won the tournament last year, we'll certainly see a new champion this year as the Frenchman is not competing in the tournament. On the other hand, the likes of Sebastian Korda, Borna Coric, and Tallon Griekspoor are all set to compete.

They are all seeded players, so they start with their second-round match in an attempt to fight for their share of the $760,390 distributed in prize money. One player that won't fight for it is Dominic Thiem, who withdrew from the tournament shortly before his match.

The biggest reward will naturally await the champion. The winner of the 2023 Winston-Salem Open will get 250 ATP points, along with $104,460 in prize money, while the runner-up at the tournament will be awarded with 150 ranking points and $59,945.

The distribution starts already in the first round, with 0 points given to players that lose at this stage, along with $4,060. Since the tournament welcomes the untraditional 48-player draw, it has a middle-step as the second-round participation gives players 10 points and $6,675, while the third round offers the traditional 20 points and also $11,355 in prize money.

For making it to the quarterfinals, players get 45 ATP points and $19,885, and the semifinal participation is awarded with 90 ranking points and $34,430 in prize money, along with the confidence boost for the US Open.
