The TipsArena will once more host the Austria Open Linz, commonly known as Linz Open, from January 29th to February 4th.

In 2024, the Linz Open will be part of the WTA 500 series, which showcases the incredible work of all relevant stakeholders and organizers and has been among the best in its category for many years.

Unsurprisingly, some of the greatest names in women's tennis have walked down this indoor setting. The Linz Open Roll of Honor is a sight to behold. Former Grand Slam champions like Maria Sharapova, Petra Kvitova, Victoria Azarenka, and Angelique Kerber have triumphed in Upper Austria in the past.

And whoever will etch their name as the 2024 champion will be part of a gaudy list of winners. The entire entry list for the tournament has not been released, but the countdown has begun. At least three players have already signed up to play at this newly upgraded tournament at the end of January.

These are Elina Svitolina, Marketa Vondrousova, and 2018 champion Camila Giorgi. The main draw field will consist of 32 singles players who will compete for a prize money amount of $922,573, which will be the benchmark for tournaments of this level.

All main draw participants should expect an increment in prize money at all rounds. Therefore, the champion in 2024 will earn $142,000, which is over a $100,000 increment from last year when Anastasia Potapova bagged the title. Additionally, the champion will be awarded 500 points.

The runner-up will also see a pay rise. The $87,655 she will bank is significantly higher than last year's prize money for the tournament winner. The runner-up will also receive 325 ranking points.

Semifinalists will make $51,205, while quarterfinalists will generate almost half of that total, which is $24,200. Players in this band will also receive three-digit ranking points. Semifinalists are awarded 195 points, while those who fall at the last eight stage receive 108 points.

Players who fail to win a main draw match will still make enough for their efforts. They will take home a paycheck amounting to $8,860 and 1 point. You can see the complete breakdown of prize money for the 2024 Upper Linz Austria down below.
