The 2025
WTA season came to an end in November with the Year-end
Championship in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The tour began with the United Cup in Sydney, Australia, and
travelled across the globe for 52 more tournaments throughout the year, seeing multiple
women achieve glory on the court. These women went home not with silverware but
generous payouts.
With the prize money pool soaring as high as
$90 million at
the US Open, let’s look at the top five players who made the most in prize
money on the WTA Tour during the season.
5. Amanda Anisimova
Amanda Anisimova enjoyed a standout season in 2025 as she
earned $7,260,577 on the tennis court to become the fifth-best earner.
Anisimova was one step away from clinching glory at Wimbledon
and the US Open. She remained afloat till the fourth round at the French Open
and the second round at the Australian Open. She also reached the semifinals at
the Year-end Championship.
The American won two WTA 1000 titles this season. She triumphed
at the Qatar Open first and later at the China Open.
